After a large and extravagant fourth season of IPL, the fifth is expected with anxieties, not to mention more expectations than the previous one. Although we had talked about the developments, the season not only brings some of the most spectacular news, but also this 2012 brings powerful expectations.

News for IPL 2012

After the close of the extravagant last season of the Indian Premier League, the preparing for the next edition is not to far, and has already begun. However, the program has not been declared yet, but an important accessory attempt is in progress. Of course is necessary mention that the numbers of players is going to be very important, and the tournament is likely to start the next April 4, of this year 2012. Undoubtedly, one of the dates more expected and animated of all for true fans of the IPL.

On the other hand, not much more can bee said by the Indian Premier League, an less that the paries, a is usual, will be distributed to over the country. The most prestigious venues, including also the Eden Gardens, the DY Patil Stadium Sardar, the Green Park, PCA Stadium, the Wankhede, and others will be some of the stadiums afortunateds to have the Liege.

We can not forget to mention that, in addition, the tournament will be started by an important opening ceremony, and of course some of the most famous and importance artist of the country will take part of that ceremony. To end this mentioned ceremony, in its ends it will be a closing ceremony too, with famous performances, including some artists from differents fields, and artist of the entertainment and the music world.

Much people are already spectating with many expectations this ceremony to see not only they favorite team, but also some of the most important artists, singers, and entertainment celebrities, that will be there on the opening of the Indian Premiere Laugue.

However, the golden player of the last season; Chris Gaye, was one of the most mentioned of all. He is a Jamaican cricketer player who currently plays International cricket for the West Indies. He also plays domestic cricket, especially for Jamaica, and is represented by Worcestershire (The Western Warriors and the Kolkata Knight Riders). Chris is currently signed in the Indian Premiere League (IPL), not to mention the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Is necessary mentioned too that he is one of the most famous players of the moment, and one of the four players who have the best score in this last years. In this season Chris Gayle will be one of the most acclaimed, no to mention one of the player more favorite of all.

To end the critic, the Indian Premier League will be very exciting this year. Firt of all, the year 2012 not only bring new excellent player to the fields, but also, great and very famous teams.

A source from The Sun, recently posted that Villarreal’s 27 year old holding midfielder Bruno Soriano who had a rate of £10 million without scoring in his all his 123 games for Villarreal in La Liga is scouted to be a new player in Manchester United. Bruno Soriano is fit to be a defensive midfielder in Manchester United in which the team lacks at. Many reports have been circulating around the sports world that the boss of Liverpool Boss Kenny Dalglish could make a great move of signing Keisuke Honda the Japanese international football player in the upcoming January transfer window. The history of the Cuban cricket team began in the 1920’s with the arrival of Jamaican and Barbadian sugar workers to the island. These immigrants brought this fascinating sport to the sugar cane plantations on the East of Cuba. Their teams used to play in localities such as Santiago de Cuba, Guantánamo and Baraguá. However it is only in 1952 when for the very first time Cuba played an international match against another foreign team: the Jamaican team. During the decades the sport spread all around the country and by the late 1990 it had arrived to Havana and Cricket counted approximately 500 players in the Cuban capital by the end of the 20^th century. Nowadays, there are more than 2000 adults and children play cricket in the island.

There is a real interest in preserving the sport in the island since there is a real danger of dying out or of surviving only as an export of expatriates. In order to do so, there are some associations and organizations that work in maintaining the tradition and continue to spread the sport out. In year 2002 Cuban became and affiliate member of the International Cricket Council, and it takes part of Regional Tournament of ICC Americas Championships

Eliminating a player

In cricket there are different ways to eliminate a player who is competing:

• At both ends of the pitch there are some pieces of wood called ‘wickets’ and if one of those pieces is hit with the ball, the player is out of competition.
• It also happens when the batter hits the ball and an opponent takes it to air. Also when the player is at-bat is running and any opponent breaks down the ‘wickets’.
• The elimination also occurs when the ball strikes directly to the ‘wickets’ or the batter for one of his legs.
• Move the bat back and hit the ‘wicket’ is also reason enough for the player is eliminated.
• The attacking team can remove the batter if it does not maintain at least a foot at its base and failing to hit an opposing player catches the ball and brings down the pieces of wood.
• As in any sport of gentlemen, if the batter gets the ball without permission from its rivals, it is eliminated.
• Finally, elimination when it replaces the outgoing batsman takes more than two minutes to get ready.

If you are defending or casting, these aspects are important because each player’s role is to prevent their occurrence races from the other team.

Duration and Scoring in Cricket

• The time can last a meeting depends on the category.
• A professional match can be contested for five or six days, playing six hours a day.
• In cricket buff duration is less. Keep in mind that the duration of a game is given according to the rate of elimination of players.

For some reason, cricket remained within a very tight core of people (only English) while soccer was transformed into a mass phenomenon it is today. Perhaps the difficulty of its rules, compared to football, has had its influence to explain this phenomenon. It’s very interesting to draw a comparison with Australia where at the same time the British also took the football and cricket. There nowadays cricket is the most popular sport, leaving a very limited role to football.

So, in Argentina, most people do not even know that there is a sport with that name, and in fact they talk about the second most popular sport in the world in terms of number of followers because in populous countries like India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, cricket is the sport number one, filling stadiums with more than 50,000 people.
