Cricket games require a rectangular area approximately 160 m long and 150 m wide. The teams have as their main components pitcher and batter. The ball of 23 cm in diameter and 160 g in weight, is coated with a tough core of cork, leather and cotton. The bat has a length of about 95 cm and a flat face 11 cm wide to hit the ball.

Targets or goals (wickets) are composed of three stakes driven into the ground, with a maximum height of 71 cm and 10 cm apart, on which rest two wooden crosspieces called bails. The targets are placed in the center of the field, 20 m away from one another. After the drawing, a team locates a receiver in each, while the other team puts a launcher.

The main purpose of the cricket games is to score many runs as possible, as a game can last several days, is usually set a time limit for the game played in one day and the clash resumed the next day.
